Just a glimpse at The Kingdom of Swaziland

a photo by GD

During my recent trip back to the homeland (South Africa), I was fortunate enough to spend 2 days in the beautiful country of Swaziland. This was my first journey into the little landlocked country that is nestled between South African and Mozambique borders, and I honestly had no idea what to expect. What I found was a country relatively similar to that of South Africa yet more welcoming and more rural at the same time. The locals were more friendly and  hospitable compared to what we had already encountered in places like Johannesburg, Witbank and Ermelo and although it was wonderful to experience it also made me heartsore as it just magnified the racial issues that continue to cripple South Africa… Nonetheless we had a fabulous time exploring this beautiful country over a very quick 2 days and I highly recommend that you visit The Kingdom of Swaziland at least once in your lifetime ( I will most certainly be returning) ! Quite a few of the photos are of poor quality, with many shot through the car window but Im sure you won’t mind as I still think they still serve there purpose and give you a glimpse into the life and land that surrounded me !
