To celebrate the fact that once again I was getting older, we went on a little trip to Montville in the Sunshine coast hinterland. Montville is a beautiful little town on the Blackall Range with rich old world charm that just envelopes you the moment you enter the town. Its main street is lined with gorgeous little specialty shops, cafes, restaurants and boutiques, enough to keep one entertained for hours.
We stayed at The Spotted Chook -Ferme Auberge (Farm Inn) . It was very quirky, with a distinctive French Inspired theme throughout with some lovely old pieces of furniture , but in all honesty the place is in need of some TLC . Although our room was very pretty with its own fire lace and private balcony, the cobwebs on the windows, extremely old bed and stained curtains did put me off and we didn’t get the best nights sleep. But overall is was very charming, with stunning views of the rolling hills and farmlands and from a photographic point of view, it was a delight !
